Physical Intimacy

A couple can get intimate in many ways, whether they showed it in public anot, aka Public Display of Affection (PDA). Intimacy starts from holding hands to hugging to kissing, to more privately, petting and making love. Still remembered, way back to my secondary school days, i have heard of the 5 stages of intimacy in a relationship. I couldnt rememeber the exact 5, but it started from holding hands/hugging to the last, sex. I guess the last stage is considered quite common among couples as time changes. In this modern society, it is no longer a taboo. However there are still many who wanna preserve the best to the day of marriage. Pre-marital sex is definitely not a 'in' thing for us to chase after. It should never be.

I think physical intimacy can bring a relationship to another level. It build up the closeness between the two persons. Some reach a certain level pretty fast while some take a long time. I guess it's always good to take it just right; not too fast, not too slow. Most importantly, the 2 persons mustn't feel any stress or unhappy due to this issue. It defeats the purpose of bonding.

Problems sometimes come in when the level of intimacy asked from either party cannot be satisfied by the other. Maybe it shouldn't be a problem. What most important is the love between the two. So everything else can be compromised. Everyone's perception of intimacy is different. Some think that the maximum they will go before settling down is just french kissing, some other think it is ok to go to the last stage so long the feeling is right. Will you be sad or start wondering why if your partner tells you that he/she only allows this stage and not further until the day of marriage? Will you push for more to happen? Of cos, the by-right answer will be respecting his/her decision. But will you cross the line or allow the line to be crossed as time goes by? haha, so many questions again.

Well i guess the only appropriate answer that i can give is whether you are ready or not. Time (to which how long the two have been together) isn't as important. When the feeling is right, you will enjoy the bond and intimacy you having with your love one.
