Glass

Glass is a piece of material that breaks easily. Once shattered, its also hard to put the pieces back together again. Even if it is 'stick' back somehow, the cracks can still be seen.

Many times, people uses breaking of glass to describe the breaking of the heart. Once i saw a friend's nick on msn, 'trust is like a piece of glass, once broken hard to piece it back.' (something like that de). Trust is almost equal to saying giving your 'heart' to someone, that you believe in that person in certain way. Inside you, you know. But once trust is taken away, you find that your belief, your judgement is wrong. It simply hurts. How deep is the wound going to be depends on how deep the glass cuts you. The same goes for breaking a heart. Time will glue back the many pieces, but memories cannot be erased like cracks. All we can do is not to think about it, looking at the good ones in between them.

Glass is usually clear and transparent. In people-people relationships, we usually hope friends and love ones can be truthful to us or vice versa. But often we can't be as transparent as a glass, even for couples. Sometimes honesty hurts, even though they are the truth. If you wan to be clear, you may 'cut' him/her. In these cases, being a tinted glass helps, at least everyone is happy.

Human is a wonderful piece of glass; can be clear, can be tinted,can be cracked, can be broken and put back together, can break and cut others, also can help others to put them back. what else he can't?
